The Smart City concept is very broad. There are many different definitions of what a Smart City is. But the one we use at Logitek is the management of urban infrastructures. There are a huge number of urban infrastructures that need to be supervised in a city; including irrigation, water treatment and management, street lighting, public transport and pollution management.
All these systems generate an enormous amount of information, huge volumes of data, and for a city to become Smart all this information needs to be brought together in a single platform, with the aim of controlling it in real time, appropriately managing resources and interacting with both the city’s managers and its citizens using mobile devices or other means.
